Why Should I Pray?
Think of the last time you talked to someone. If it was your mom, you could've been talking about really anything. If it was the checkout lady at a store, it was probably very constructed and impersonal; "Hi, how are you?" "Good, you?" "Good. (or maybe great) Is that all?" "Yep, have a good day!" "Have a good day!" Scripted vs Constructed Prayer It's weird how often I have used this interaction for most people I greet. Sometimes, it's all that's necessary, and others, something is up with me that day. The way I might want to respond is, "No, it's been a rough day. I've been upset and tired all morning, and I need a hug." (Of course, I don't recommend that you actually say that to a stranger, haha.)
